Dental Implants

Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing teeth. The entire implant process is performed over the course of a few months. The first part of the process is to install the implant itself. This is done by making an incision into the gum tissue so that the implant can be inserted. The gum tissue is then sutured after the implant placement.

After the implant is placed, it takes approximately 3-6 months to heal. During this time the bone in the jaw will form around the implant; this is a process called osseointegration.

After osseointegration is complete and the implant is healed, the next step is to place the abutment on the implant. The abutment serves as the base for your new tooth. Once placed, an impression will be taken in order to fabricate your new crown. The final step is to then permanently attach the crown.

Your smile will look just like it used to and the implant will feel just like one of your own teeth!
