Meet Your Dentists
Dr. Bacon is a graduate of Warren Central High School. He further graduated with a chemistry degree (BA) from Wabash College were he achieved an Academic All-American award while on the wrestling team. Subsequently he attended Indiana University School of Dentisty and graduated in 1992.
Dr. Bacon is a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Indianapolis District Dental Society, the Greater Indianapolis Dental Implant Study Club. Dr. Bacon and his wife, who is also a dentist, have utilized their dental degrees internationally in Beliz and India where they have participated in medical mission trips. He attends over 100 hours of continuting education annually in order to remain abreast of ever changing techniques, products, technology, and innovation associated with the dental field.
Gary and his family attend Northview Christian Church. He has served in the position of deacon for 6 years. He has enjoyed coaching soccer, softball, volleyball and currently coaches middle school wrestling.
Gary and his wife, Sandy have 2 children; Brittany,27 and Cameron, 14. Gary enjoys reading and spending time with his family! Their family activities include: bicycling, traveling, water/snow skiing, backpacking and scuba diving.
Dr. Brett Hopen was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN and graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Inidana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Hopen is a member of the Indianapolis Distict Dental Society, Indiana Dental Association, as well as the American Dental Association. He also volunteers at the Trinity Free Dental Clinic in Carmel, IN. He enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry, and looks forward to further explanding his knowledge through continuing education courses.
Dr. Hopen got married in July 2013 to his wife Jaclyn, who is also a Dentist practicing in Carmel, IN. They have two wonderful children: Carter and Henry as well as a dog, Millie, whom they adopted from the Indianapolis Humane Society. In his free time, Dr. Hopen enjoys playing golf, as well as watching all sports, particularly his Indiana Hoosiers, Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. He and his wife Jaclyn love traveling as well as spending time at thier family's lake cottages in the summer.
